Our dojo is dedicated to the practice of Shobayashi Shorin Ryu as taught by Eizo Shimabukuro in Okinawa.  Grandmaster Robert Inferrera, 9th Dan, is a first generation student of O Sensei Shimabukuro and began his studies while stationed on Okinawa as a U.S. Marine during the early 1960's.  On returning to the United States, Sensei Infererra was given the task of spreading the art of Shobayashi Shorin Ryu and established his first dojo in Connecticut in 1964.  There are many great teachers in the martial arts that can be credited back to Sensei Inferrera’s lineage, which is a testament to his true devotion to Shobayashi Shorin Ryu.

Our dojo is aimed at teaching those that wish to dedicate themselves to martial arts and learn in a classical manner as Grandmaster Inferrera himself was taught.  Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student who has lost their way, you can let Grandmaster Inferrera’s 50 plus years of experience guide you.  Please take a look around our site and contact us to get started on a better path.
